Working with Back2Rank
How projects begin, how we communicate, and what to expect when working with us.
How does a project start?
Every engagement starts the same way, whatever the service: we examine your situation before proposing anything. You send us the context, we review it carefully, assess what is actually happening, and come back with an honest evaluation and a proposed plan. No generic offers, no commitments before the evidence is in.
How quickly can you start?
There is no universal answer, and we will not pretend otherwise. When you contact us, we assess the situation and tell you realistically when work can begin. Critical situations, an active penalty, a hacked website, a collapsing migration, are prioritised, because in those cases time directly costs you money.
How long does an engagement last?
It depends on what you need. Audits, migrations, and analyses are one-time projects with a defined scope. Recoveries last as long as the damage requires, and we tell you our realistic expectation after the diagnosis, not before. Performance SEO and Monitoring are ongoing programs. What we never do is promise a deadline before we have seen the evidence.
What do you need from us to begin?
Three things: the story (what happened, when, and what has been tried), access (your analytics, webmaster consoles, and website data), and a decision-maker we can talk to. The more complete the context, the faster the diagnosis.
Who will I actually be talking to?
The expert managing your project, directly. There is no account layer between you and the people doing the work, and your questions, tasks, and reports all live in your Client Hub alongside the work itself.
Pricing & Scope
How we price, what is included, and where the boundaries are.
How is pricing determined?
By the situation, not by a menu. We have no pre-made packages, because a penalty cleanup for a five-page website and one for a marketplace with 100,000 URLs are not the same project. After the initial assessment you receive a clear scope with a clear price, and the reasoning behind both.
Do you offer free audits or consultations?
No. A real audit takes expert hours, and “free audits” in this industry are sales documents designed to scare you into a contract. When we analyse your website, you pay for it, and you get findings you can act on with us or without us.
Do you guarantee rankings or results?
No, and neither can anyone else; search engines do not sell guarantees to agencies. What we commit to is documented: the evidence behind every action, realistic expectations stated upfront, and honest reporting of what worked and what did not. Anyone promising you position one is telling you what you want to hear.
What happens if you find you cannot help us?
We tell you, plainly. Sometimes the diagnosis shows the problem is not SEO, or not worth the recovery cost, or better solved another way. In that case you get the honest conclusion and a recommended direction, and we part as people who might work together another time.
Can we hire you just for content writing or link building?
No. Digital PR and content writing are exclusive to our active clients: they work as parts of a connected program, not as isolated deliverables. Selling them standalone would mean selling exactly the disconnected activity we advise against.
For Agencies & Developers
How the partnership works and how your client relationship stays protected.
Will you try to take our client?
No, and this is the foundation of the entire partner model. We never pitch your client, never upsell them, and never contact them without your approval. If your client approaches us directly, we route them back to you. Your account is not our market.
Can you work white-label?
Yes. You choose our visibility: fully under your brand, side by side with your team, or in the room with your client when that helps. The model is agreed before work starts, and everything we produce is written so you can present it as you prefer.
What kind of work can we refer to you?
The hard cases: traffic drops without a clear cause, failed migrations, hacked websites, penalties, complex audits, and migration or build projects that need an SEO layer. You do not need to diagnose anything first; send the context and we will tell you what it needs.
How does reporting work in a partnership?
Everything is documented to be shared: findings, priorities, and progress in a form you can forward to your client directly or rebrand. Your team can also work inside the shared Client Hub, so the context lives in one place instead of forwarding chains.
What if the problem came from our own work?
It happens, and it stays between us. The findings are presented privately to you, framed around fixing the problem rather than assigning blame. You decide what your client hears and how; our job is to make sure the issue gets solved.
Specific situations
First answers for the situations that usually bring people to us.
My traffic just dropped. What should I do first?
Resist the urge to change things. Panic edits, mass content rewrites, and quick-fix link buying regularly turn a recoverable drop into a harder one. Preserve the data, note exactly when the decline started and what changed around that date, and get a proper diagnosis before anyone touches the website.
We migrated our website and traffic fell. Is that recoverable?
Usually yes, and the odds improve the sooner the transition errors are found. Search engines are re-evaluating your new site right now, which means the window matters: broken redirects and lost signals harden into permanent losses the longer they stay live.
We received a manual action. Can it actually be removed?
Yes, with a complete cleanup and a properly documented case; that is the only way. Partial cleanups get rejected, and every rejected reconsideration request makes the next review stricter. Be sceptical of anyone promising removal in days without showing you the process.
Our website was hacked. Do you clean the infection?
The technical cleanup belongs to your developers and security team, and we guide it with experience: where infections hide, what causes reinfection, what to verify before calling the site clean. What is fully ours is the damage you cannot see in the code: indexed spam, injected links, search engine warnings, and the rankings lost while the site was compromised.
We're invisible in ChatGPT and AI answers. Can you help with that?
Yes. We optimise for every search engine and for AI visibility, however the term of the month sounds: GEO, AEO, or the next one. AI answers are assembled from measurable signals, and building them is part of how we work on audits, growth programs, and analyses.
The Client Hub
Your project’s home: what it is, who gets access, and what you see inside.
What is the Client Hub?
The workspace where your entire engagement lives: work plans, tasks, communication with your managing expert, reports, recaps, analytics, and invoices. It exists so you always know what is happening without asking, and it measurably works: it cut administrative overhead by 20-30% per project, time that now goes into the actual work.
What can I track in it?
The work and the results, together. Tasks from planned to completed, including Digital PR, copywriting, and off-page progress; integrated dashboards with Google Search Console and GA4; keyword tracking and AI mentions monitoring; plus every report, recap, and invoice in one place.
Who can get access?
Whoever your project needs: your team, your developers, your marketing partners, or other providers, each with visibility that fits their role. Stakeholders can see the high-level picture without the operational noise.
Can I request work through the Hub?
Yes. New task requests go directly into the workspace, attached to the project instead of buried in an inbox, and you can follow them from request to completion.
Does the Hub cost extra?
No. It is part of how we work, included in every engagement. We built it because projects run measurably better in one workspace, not as an upsell.
Your question didn't make the list? Ask it anyway.
The questions above cover what most people ask; your situation may not fit any of them. Describe it in your own words, and the answer will come from an expert who actually reviewed it, not from a template.
