Back2Rank.com took first place in the audience vote in the Company Website category of Website of the Year 2026, Bulgaria’s annual contest for websites built in the country. The organizers announced the winners at the award ceremony on November 3, 2026. Thank you to everyone who voted, to the people who run the contest, and to the teams behind the site and the brand.

What the audience award means, and what it doesn’t

Website of the Year ranks every category twice. A jury of 67 experts in design, development, and digital marketing scores the entries, and the public votes separately. Back2Rank.com won the public vote. In the first round of jury scoring, we placed sixth out of 30 sites in our category, with 7.785 points. The score weighs design, programming, and marketing at 30% each, and legal compliance and accessibility at 5% each. The final jury ranking lists the top five sites, and we missed that list by 0.025 points. The jury’s first place in our category went to Hyperspeed Agency, built by Fundamental Studio. Congratulations to them and to every other site on that list.

So what does this award actually measure? It shows that enough people know us and like what we’ve built to spend a minute voting for it. It doesn’t rank a page in Google, and it doesn’t bring back a single lost visitor. Our clients pay us for recoveries, not trophies, so nothing about how we work changes because of this one. We still start every project with a diagnosis.

The award still matters to me. We launched back2rank.com this year, when MAX Digital became Back2Rank. A rebrand is a risk, because you’re asking people who knew one name to trust a new one. When they vote for the new site, I know they made the move with us. It’s also the second community vote we’ve won this fall, after the Community Choice award at the Crossroads Awards 2026.

Thank you to the Foundation for Active Web Development

The Foundation for Active Web Development has run Website of the Year since 2018. Justine Toms, Lyubomir Rusanov, and Metodi Drenovski founded it that spring. Justine Toms leads the contest, and Svetla Yovova is its chief organizer. The jury members are volunteers. Nobody pays them for the hours they spend scoring every entry. That’s rare, and it’s why the contest carries weight in the Bulgarian web industry.

The jury also leaves written feedback for every participant, which to me is the most useful part of the whole contest. We ask clients to read an audit before they argue with it. I’ll read the jury’s notes on our site the same way.

Thank you to Vectory

Vectory designed and developed back2rank.com, and they had a strong year at the contest. Their own site placed fourth in the jury ranking for our category. IP in the spotlight, another of their projects, came third in the same audience vote. Good work tends to show up more than once.

Thank you to Spread It

Spread It, the digital agency, created the Back2Rank brand. The yellow shield with the upward arrow, the colors, and the visual identity people now recognize on the site all came from their work. A rebrand only lands if the new name looks like it belongs to a company people already trust. Spread It gave us exactly that.

Thank you for every vote

Clients, partners, colleagues, and friends voted for a site whose job is to help businesses when their search traffic is in trouble. Thank you, every one of you. And congratulations to Yoga Lab and IP in the spotlight, who finished second and third in the public vote.
